Skating Club Participates in an Act of Sharing
Greeley Tribune, December 4, 2011

Mountain View Skating Club (MVSC) prepared and served lunch to residents at the Guadalupe Shelter in Greeley. The shelter provides emergency housing for single men and women and families.  MVSC had 25 skaters and their parents participate, preparing a meal for 50 residents.

The club chose this project for the holiday season to help broaden their awareness of those less fortunate.  It warmed their hearts and made them realize that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

To see Mountain View Skaters in action come to the Holiday Ice Show at the Greeley Ice Haus Friday, December 9th from 6:00-7:15 P.M. and Saturday, December 10th from 2:00-3:15 P.M.

Mountain View Skating Club

The Mountain View Skating Club (MVSC) is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). As the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States, USFSA's mission is to provide programs to...
  • encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating
  • provide the best possible experience for all participants

Founded in November 2007, the Mountain View Skating Club is a non-profit organization started by enthusiastic parents and coaches, interested in providing opportunities to help skaters fulfill their figure skating goals locally.
Our home rink is the Greeley Ice Haus, a state-of-the-art, NHL-size ice arena with seating for nearly 1000 spectators. The facility was built in 2005. It is managed by the City of Greeley Department of Leisure Services.

Freestyle sessions are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 to 5:15 PM. Each 45-minute session costs $5. Please note this schedule is subject to change.

See
facility for information about skating programs, freestyle sessions and events. See map for rink location.
